Gabriel’s area of expertise is Crime and Constitutional Law, specialising in defence trials and appellate advocacy, with significant experience in High Court and Court of Criminal Appeal matters. Gabriel appears regularly in the Supreme, District and Local Courts of New South Wales, as well as appellate and superior courts in other States and Territories in Australia. He has also appeared internationally in both New Zealand and Fiji.
Gabriel is a member of the Legal Aid NSW barristers’ panel for complex criminal law matters and the specialist panel for criminal appellate matters.
Gabriel is admitted to the New Zealand Bar.
