Prior to coming to the Bar, Paul was a solicitor with the Australian Government Solicitor where he gained significant knowledge and experience undertaking work for the ATO in debt recovery matters.
Upon coming to the Bar in 1999, Paul was briefed by the AGS in ATO matters which included proceedings for winding up companies, director penalties, debt recovery, bankruptcy and preference recovery. The ATO commenced briefing Paul directly and he was briefed by former ATO officers who had entered private practice.
Paul accepts Briefs to appear in the Supreme, District and Local Courts of New South Wales, as well as the Federal Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court.
Paul is approved as an Arbitrator with the Local and District Courts of New South Wales and is accredited by the New South Wales Bar Association BarADR, General Approved Arbitrators List. He is also qualified as an adjudicator with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.
